Kieron Bewes of Green Rock Pest Control has been selected by a national industry organisation to represent pest controllers on their innovative national committee.

The National Pest Technicians Association (NPTA) was founded with the clear purpose to serve pest control technicians and elevate the standards of the industry. To achieve this they have worked hard to encourage pest controllers to be properly trained, insured, up to date with the latest legislation and so much more. Not only for the benefit of the practitioners themselves but also to the benefit of their customers as well. The NPTA has a board of directors made up of pest control professionals who give their time voluntarily to support its work.

Over time their focus has broadened slightly to encompass the integrity and professionalism of the industry as a whole by fostering business growth, protecting public health and advocating for their members at all levels. They actively collaborate with other agencies and government departments in discussions that impact the pest control field.

To this end they have now set up the NPTA UK Committee to feed directly into the board of directors, and it is our own Kieron Bewes of Green Rock Pest Control who has been selected to represent the whole of the South West. This is a feather in the cap of this small and relatively young local company, showing their faith in him and the high regard with which he is held within the pest control industry.
Kieron commented

‘On the Committee we have representatives from Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales (New Forest) South West (me) and the Midlands (Staffordshire) and over time will be adding more areas as our committee grows.
We are led by Hugh Radford of Guardian Pest Control based up in Taunton and we discuss a variety of subjects that we cannot talk about until they become public knowledge but all of it is to raise the industry standard and move onward and upward. I am truly blessed and honoured to have been asked to join The NPTA UK Committee and will strive to do my very best in the industry that I love being a part of.’
